Frequently asked questions
Contact your IDEXX Veterinary Diagnostic Consultant for pricing information.
Yes! The IDEXX inVue Dx analyzer is compatible with ear swab and blood samples, but fine needle aspirate cytology will be coming soon, providing high-stakes testing with results in a matter of minutes.
Supplementing CBC results from the ProCyte One or ProCyte Dx hematology analyzer with blood morphology results from IDEXX inVue Dx analyzer can add value as morphologic changes in blood cell characteristics, such as size, shape, structure, and arrangement, can provide valuable information about the health of the pet, even when the cell count is normal.
The process for supplementing your CBC results varies, depending on your hematology analyzer:
- If you’re using a ProCyte One or ProCyte Dx hematology analyzer: For full, automatic integration, initiate a run on the IDEXX VetLab Station that includes both a ProCyte analyzer and the IDEXX inVue Dx analyzer. The IDEXX inVue Dx analyzer will automatically leverage the RBC, WBC, and PLT counts provided in the CBC, and the blood morphology results will be automatically integrated with the CBC results.
- If you’re using a different hematology analyzer: In order for the IDEXX inVue Dx analyzer to leverage the CBC results, the RBC, WBC and PLT counts will need to be manually added when the IDEXX inVue Dx run is initiated. Blood morphology results will be reported separately from the hematology results.
